Casey Overstreet shares her story of adopting her son, Oli, who has Down Syndrome and the beautiful blessing and joy he is to her family. In her own words, “What I learned was that it really just started changing me and helping me to be more of the individual blessing that people with Down Syndrome bring to all those around them. They experience joy at a level that many of us don’t. They appreciate the small things in a way that most of us don’t…

…I always want to reach out to that family [who just received a Down Syndrome diagnosis] and say you don’t even know the blessing, the gift that you just received. Yes, there will be challenges, yes there will be things that will be different, but everything is just a little bit extra special because of Oli.”
