New Ohio Coordinator to strengthen pro-life safety net in The Buckeye State.

A woman with long dark hair, wearing a black top, beige jacket, gold hoop earrings, and a gold chain necklace, smiles in front of a gray mottled background—reflecting the spirit of a pro-life safety net. Her PLAN has hired Morgan David to serve as Ohio Coordinator. Morgan will oversee Her PLAN’s state program in Ohio, bringing together community leaders and local providers to assess and strengthen the pro-life safety net in the state using Her PLAN’s pro-life safety net framework. David will also coordinate local Her Community coalitions comprised of public officials, churches, charities, ministries, businesses and individuals that assess the adequacy of their local pro-life safety net and identify opportunities to expand resources that address unmet needs. She will continue work in previously launched Her Communities in Lake County and the Ohio Valley.

Originally from Medina County, David now resides in Columbus with her husband, also an Ohio native. She graduated from Cedarville University with a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in public policy. Before coming to Her PLAN, David worked as legislative aide in the Ohio House of Representatives under State Representative Mark Johnson.

David ended her six-year career in the Air Force National Guard in 2025, which included a six-month deployment to the Middle East. Leaving the Guard provided a moment of reflection and reignited the desire for her dream job: working in the pro-life movement.

Growing up in a Christian household, pro-life beliefs were instilled in her from a young age even before she knew what the “movement” was. When she entered high school and learned what abortion was and the arguments of those pushing it, she found it heartbreaking. It was there that the fire of pro-life advocacy started.

Her political background and pro-life belief converged recently in Ohio, pushing her toward further involvement. In 2023, 57% of Ohioans voted to make abortion legal until 26 weeks, heavily influenced by campaigning of out-of-state abortion activists and donors. The reality of this vote shocked her as she steadfastly believes there are more Ohioans out there who support life. Speaking up for moms, babies and pro-life Ohioans is a desire that fuels her in her new role at Her PLAN.

After years of working in policy, she is excited to work with individuals and know their stories as more than ideas in the Ohio Statehouse. “I’m excited to see the change,” said David. “In policy and politics, you see the big picture, but you’re not dealing with individuals all the time. In this job, I’ll be dealing with individuals and will be able to talk to them and hear their stories.”

As she steps into this new role at Her PLAN, Morgan hopes to have more conversations and help organizations realize they aren’t alone in their work helping moms and babies. Many Ohio pro-lifers feel isolated and invisible, especially after the 2023 election. Life-affirming organizations and resources exist, but they often function in solitude and feel isolated. Morgan’s goal is to form connections between these organizations to help them function better, which will in turn help moms and babies throughout The Buckeye State.

David is passionate about helping moms because moms and babies are the future. She wants to push back against the false narrative that the pro-life movement abandons moms after the baby is born. She wants moms to know there is someone there for them, every step of the way. “If we want to take care of children and ensure they have a good quality of life, you help the mom. Helping the mom helps the baby,” said David. She wants to be involved in sustainable solutions that help abortion-vulnerable moms take the next step into a life with their babies where they can thrive with a community of support beside them.

David is most excited to start Her Communities across the state and invest intentional time into building relationships and strengthening the pro-life safety net. Her love for Ohio runs deep, and she is grateful for the opportunity to make the state she loves better for moms and babies.

Outside of pro-life advocacy, her passion is tap dance, which she has taught for ages and skills ranging from three years old to older adult.
