Executive Director Autumn Christensen sat down with Brian Westbrook, Executive Director and Founder of Coalition Life, to talk about the landscape of the pro-life movement in a post-Dobbs era and how Her PLAN exists to help them both — moms and their babies.

Autumn explained the concept of the pro-life safety net, a framework Her PLAN originated in 2020 based on research into the reasons women seek abortion. Made up of life affirming organizations that address the needs that drive women to consider abortion, the pro-life safety net includes traditional pregnancy support organizations like pregnancy centers and broader resources like homeless shelters, job training programs, counseling, food pantries and medical clinics.

Autumn and Brian also discussed the dangerous reality of abortion drugs: the physical risk of the drugs, the trauma women face from surviving the abortion drug, and how domestic abusers can yield abortion drugs as yet another means of control. “The rise of the abortion drug has changed the entire landscape and made it even harder for moms to choose life,” said Autumn.

With decades of experience in the pro-life movement, Autumn shared her insights from working on Capitol Hill as well as personal reflections on the critical need for pro-lifers across the nation to become Her Neighbors.
