Last week, Her PLAN released a new brochure highlighting Her PLAN’s mission and programs. All Her PLAN programs increase her access to resources that sustain her decision for life. This updated brochure reflects Her PLAN’s growth since the program launched in 2020 and the team’s work to connect and grow the pro-life safety net over the past six years.
The brochure provides an overview of Her PLAN’s flagship programs: Her PLAN Directory, Her Care Connectors, Her Care Partners, Her Communities, Pathways, and Her Story. Her PLAN mobilizes every day pro-life individuals, organizations looking to make an impact in their community, and providers who work with abortion-vulnerable women to serve vulnerable moms and babies in their communities.
In 2020, Her PLAN originated the idea of the pro-life safety net. This framework reflects reasons why women seek abortion and allows the pro-life movement to respond to her needs with comprehensive support that meets her specific needs. With seven categories of care, every individual has an opportunity to support abortion-vulnerable moms and their babies, regardless of their skill or occupation. Everyone has a role to play in strengthening the pro-life safety net.
Her PLAN’s work responds to the reality that 60% of women who had an abortion would not have if they had received more material or emotional support. Providing this needed support allows women to make the choice they want to make — the choice for life and the choice to become the mom they want to be. Her PLAN also responds to the growing and dangerous prevalence of abortion drugs which now constitute 63% of abortions in America. When Her Community walks beside her with the support she needs, she can maintain her daily resolve for life despite the looming threat of the drugs in her boyfriend’s sock drawer or her neighbor’s medicine cabinet.
